The Ministry of Health gives a special importance to Gitex 2010 participation. WAREED was one of the Ministry's technological highlights at this famous event of Dubai's. WAREED is a project aiming to create a paperless mid-care environment and already on trial phase in several hospitals in the UAE.

WAREED trial phase was launched in Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital, beginning in Emergency Department. The project will be extended to include the other departments at the hospital by the end of August 2009. The trial phase has been launched in Musheref Clinic.

His Excellency Dr. Hanif Hassan, Minister of Health, paid a field visit to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Ajman and stressed the importance of implementing Wareed throughout the hospital’s departments, as the first concrete step towards establishing completely integrated electronic platforms linking all of the 14 government-run
hospitals and their affiliated clinics in the Northern Emirates.The Minister listened to the staff feedback, commending the exemplary role of Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in implementingWareed, which would change all aspects of the country’s healthcare services.
His Excellency exchanged conversations with the heads of departments and other hospital workers, listening to their opinions while emphasizing on the importance of Khalifa Hospital and its staff as the pilot for a project expected to revolutionize the concepts of healthcare service.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and in the presence of Dr. Salem Al Darmaki - the MoH Undersecretary and the Project Sponsor - and Mr. Hamad Al Shamsi – the Ajman medical Zone director and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital director, the Wareed team conducted a Pre-Live session for the Hospital’s Clinical Staff. This session featured presentations of both Hybrid Health Solutions and Cerner Middle East.

Ministry Of Health’s Wareed initiative at Arab Health. Two Ajman medical facilities first to introduce groundbreaking health information system.Through the UAE Ministry of Health’s presence at Arab Health Exhibition, Wareed offered visitors a glimpse into the future of the MoH Hospitals through demonstration of the various improvements the project will bring across seven departments including registration & scheduling, physician order entry, emergency, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory and radiology.

Wareed visit Apollo Hospitals in India – March 2009
Apollo Hospitals is not just one of India’s premier healthcare providers. The chain has also played a pioneering role in helping India become a center-of-excellence in global healthcare.Hyper Health Solutions (HHS) hosted the WAREED team in a trip to India. The program of the visit included an info tour about Healthcare Information Systems at Apollo hospitals in Hyderabad and New Delhi.
The team also visited TATA Data Centre in Hyderabad, owned by Tata Communications, a leading global provider of a new world of communications.Tata Communications was named “Best Wholesale Carrier” at the World Communications Awards in 2006, and “Best Pan-Asian Wholesale Provider” at the 2006 and 2007 Global Wholesale Telecommunications Awards.
WAREED visit cerner Head Quarter – United States of America – November 2008
Wareed steering committee visited Cerner Head Quarter, as well as Cerner Data center in Kansas, U.S.A. This visit was hosted by iCapital, the Project Main contractor and the Consortium Leader, as well as Cerner Middle East the Solutions Providers for the MoH Project.The team also visited several hospitals in both Kansas and New York Cities.

The Ministry of Health showcased Wareed at Gitex exhibition amid Media’s interest, a week after the contract signing with iCapital, the main Project Contractor
and the Consortium Leader.
Wareed was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Contract Signing to Launch “WAREED” - OCTOBER 2008
Wareed initiative is part of MoH new strategy, which started at the beginning of 2008 and include various initiatives set to revolutionize all aspects of the Healthcare
delivery system.
The Wareed implementation Contract was signed between the Ministry of Health and iCapital, the main contractor and the consortium leader for the project.
The event was followed by preliminary design and onsite walkthrough assessments conducted by the project team across all 14 hospitals earmarked to adopt Wareed.
